Peel sliced of fresh ginger. Run through a juicer.
Add in turmeric and the juice of 1 lemon. Whisk.
Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, if desired.

This makes one, 4 ounce ginger shot OR two, 2 ounce ginger shots. Juicing tips and alternatives:
Be sure to peel your ginger prior to using. The skin of fresh ginger can be very fibrous, which could clog or even damage your juicer.
If using fresh turmeric, keep in mind that the yellow can stain anything it touches, including your juicer. That’s one reason why I use ground turmeric instead.
Don’t have a juicer? No problem! Simply add sliced fresh ginger to 4 ounces of filtered water, then process in a blender. Strain out any unprocessed bits of ginger, and proceed with the recipe as instructed in step 2.
Is it too strong for you? Ginger can be “spicy,” so you can also use this as a concentrate– add fresh filtered water to create a milder drink.
